DASH Tech IC is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to join our team delivering the next generation of efficient, flexible embedded processing for RF systems. In this role, you are expected to participate in the definition of architecture and implementation of systems, algorithms and designs for both prototype and commercial products as well as demonstrate good development practices and seamless collaboration. Our teams deliver a wide range of software enabled systems ranging from our custom SoCs to high-level RF signals processing engines.

Responsibilities 

• Perform software and systems engineering activities and provide technical insight to team members
• Support all phases of hardware development, including early architecture requirements definition for custom silicon, firmware architecture, implementation, simulation, chip bring-up as well as support systems and software teams on algorithm development on validated systems
• Understand and implement firmware and DSP/RF applications on Linux, RTOS, and/or bare-metal environments
• Support development of high-level systems simulations and the realization of designs in software
• Collaborate closely in a team environment with silicon architects, hardware designers, algorithm and model development teams in understanding end-user requirements and implementing on new and established processing platforms

Requirements 

A successful candidate should have various prerequisite skills and qualifications to handle her/his duties effectively, including:

• 8+ years of experience in RF systems engineering
• Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and RF system concepts
• Experience with Python (and/or MATLAB) for systems simulation
• Experience with embedded software design and programming in low-level languages for development, debugging, testing and performance analysis
• Exposure to developing and maintaining Linux systems and software
• Hands-on experience through the full software development lifecycle (development through verification and certification/qualification)
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to be flexible, to improvise and execute under imperfect information
• While we are a remote-first company, this role is located in the United States
• This role is eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government
